Do you know you are very unique and special? God created you in His image and likeness. “I praise you because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well” Psalm 139: 14. As a child, God created you to be the way you are right now. So be happy and excited about yourself.
Anytime you look at yourself in the mirror, see the remarkably and wonderfully created you. If you are on the big or slim side, or you are tall or not too tall, God created you that way and He loves you exactly the way you are. Therefore, value yourself and do not try to be someone else.
There are certain things you must do to maintain yourself esteem. First on the list is that you must learn neatness; do not be a scattered person. Yes, you must deliberately cultivate the habit of always keeping yourself and your environment tidy.
Some other things you must be careful about are the company you keep and the places you hangout. “Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals” 1 Corinthians 15: 13. In other words, if you keep company with worthless friends or people and hangout in the wrong places, before long you will be a different person entirely.
“Give alcohol to him who is perishing; And wine to him whose life is bitter” Proverbs 31: 6. Hello! Young people, alcohol and drugs are not good for you. They are for those whose lives are miserable. Check the lives of the people you know who are into alcohol and drugs. Can you see they are living a lie? They are living a false life. They pretend to be happy meanwhile they are in and out of rehab. Is that the type of life you want to live? I know you do not want that life. So do not imitate or try to be like them.
Education is also very important. So do not drop out of school for any reason because education is an investment in your personality. Like the computer, it is what you input you will also bring out. So it is what you invested in your personality today, you will turn out to be tomorrow. “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap” Galatians 6: 7.
